  • APPLE SUPPLIER WISTRON'S Rs.3000 CRORE INVESTMENT PROJECT APPROVED BY KARNATAKA GOVT

    Apple's Taiwanese supplier Wistron plans to invest Rs 3,000 crore in Narasapura industrial area in Kolar district, the Karnataka government approved the project. A team from Wistron called on CM HD Kumaraswamy in Bengaluru on Tuesday. Gururaj A, the country head of Wistron, was quoted in a communique from the CM's office as saying the project to make iPhones on the 43-acre land will be one of the biggest projects of its kind in the country. The statement said the facility is expected to generate 10,500 jobs.

  • GOVERNMENT OKAYS 6 PROPOSALS WORTH RS 9000 CRORE

    The state high-level committee on Saturday cleared several investment proposals worth Rs 9048.39 crore. The six projects which were cleared are expected to provide employment to about 35,487 people. Except for one proposal based in Belagavi, all others have been granted land in Bengaluru Urban and Rural areas. Among the proposals cleared was that of Oracle India Pvt Ltd (`2,438 crore) for 13 acres and 29 guntas of land in Kadubeesanahalli village, Outer Ring Road, Bangalore East Taluk. Bluestone Tech Park has been allotted 55 acres in Appajipura, Samethanahalli and Koraluru villages of Hoskote taluk to set up an integrated IT Park at a cost of `2,051.39 crore. Our project is 10 mins drive from this upcoming IT park.
